Yogi padmasanastho pi sudhamutsrjya vardate,
Vayu siddhis tada jneya samsara svantanasini.

When the Yogi, though remaining in padmasana, can raise in the air and leave the ground, then know that he has gained vayusiddhi (success over air), which destroys the darkness of the world.

Bila yogi dapat terangkat diudara dan lepas dari tanah, walaupun tetap dalam keadaan padmasana, maka ketahuilah bahwa ia telah mendapatkan vayu-siddhi (berhasil mengatasi udara), yang menghancurkan kegelapan dunia ini.

Tavatkalam prakurvati yogokta niyama graham,
Alpanidra purisam ca stikam mutram ca jayate.

But so long (as he does not gain it), let him practice observing all the rules and restrictions laid down above. From the perfection of pranayama, follows decrease of sleep, excrements and urine.

Tetapi selama (ia belum mendapatkannya), patuhilah segala aturan-aturan dan pembatasan yang ditentukan diatas. Dari kesempurnaan pranayama ikutilah pengurangan tidur, buang air dan kencing.

Arogitvamadina tvam yoginas tattva darsinah,
Svedo lala krmis caiva sarvatha iva na jayate.

The truth-perceiving Yogi becomes free from disease, and sorrow or affliction; he never gets (putrid)
perspiration, saliva and intestinal worms.

Yogi yang memahami secara benar akan bebas dari penyakit dan kesedihan atau duka cita; ia tak pernah memperoleh keringat (busuk), air ludah dan cacing-cacing usus.

Kapha pittanilas caiva sadhakasya kalevare,
Tasmin kale sadhaksya bhojyesvaniyam agrahah.

When in the body of the practitioner, there is neither any ncrease of phlegm, wind, nor bile; then he may with impunity be rregular in his diet and the rest.

Bila pada badan pada pelaku tak terdapat penambahan lendir, angin ataupun empedu; maka kemungkinan ia dapat bebas dalam ketakteraturan istirahat dan makanannya.

Aty alpam bahudha bhuktva yogi na vyathate hi sah,
Athabhyasa vasad yogi bhucarim sddhih apnuyat.
Yatha dardura jantunam gatih syat panitadanat.

No injurious results then would follow, were the Yogi to take a large quantity of food, or very little, or no food at all. hrough the strength of constant practice, the Yogi obtains bhucharisiddhi, he moves as the frog jumps over the ground, when frightened away by the clapping of hands.

Kemudian tak ada hal merugikan yang akan menyertai, walaupun yogi makan banyak atau makan terlalu sedikit atau bahkan tidak makan sama sekali. Berkat kekuatan dari pelaksanaan yang konstan, yogi mendapatkan bhucari-siddhi, ia bergerak seperti kodok yang melompat diatas tanah, bila kaget dengan tepukan tangan.

Santyatra bahavo vighna daruna durnivaranah,
Yathapi sadhayed yogi pranaij kamtha gatair api.

Verily, there are many hard and almost insurmountable obstacles in Yoga, yet the Yogi should go on with his practice at all hazards; even were his life to come to the throat.

Sesungguhnya, banyak halangan-halangan yang keras dan sangat tak mungkin untuk diatasi didalam yoga, namun sang yogi harus melanjutkan pelaksanaannya disegala bahaya, walaupun nyawanya telah mencapai kerongkongan.

Tato rahasy upavistah sadhakah samyatendriyah,
Pranavam prajaped dirgham vighnanam nasahetave.

Then let the practitioner, sitting in a retired place and restraining his senses, utter by inaudible repetition, the long pranava OM, in order to destroy all obstacles.

Kemudian biarkanlah si pelaku dengan duduk pada tempat terpencil dan mengekang nafsunya, dengan pengulangan yang tak terdengar, mengucapkan pranava panjang Om, agar supaya menghancurkan segala halangan.

Purvarjitani karmani pranayamena niscitam,
Nasyet sadhako dhimanihalokod bhavani ca.

The wise practitioner surely destroys al his karma, whether acquired in its life or in the past, through the regulation of breath.

Pelaksana yang bijaksana melalui pengaturan pernafasan secara pasti menghancurkan krma-nya, apapun yang diterimanya pada kehidupan yang sekarang, ataupun dimasa lalu.

Purvajitani papani punyani vividhani ca,
Nasyet sodasa pranayamena yogi pumgavah.

The great Yogi destroys by sixteen pranayamas the various virtues and vices accumulated in his past life.

Yogi yang hebat dengan 16 pranayama dapat menghancurkan bermacam-macam kebajikan dan kejahatan yang tertimbun dalam kehidupan masa lalunya.

Papatulacayan aho pradahet pralayagnina,
Tatah papa vinirmuktah pascat punyani nasayet.

This pranayama destroys sin, as fire burns away a heap of cotton; it makes the Yogi free from sin; next it destroys the bonds of all his good actions.

Pranayama ini menghancurkan dosa, seperti api yang membakar habis setimbunan kapas yang membuat yogi bebas dari dosa, selanjutnya menghancurkan semua ikatan perbuatan baiknya.

Pranayamena yogindro labdhv aisvaryastakani vai,
Papa punyo dadhim tirtva trailokya caratamiyat.

The mighty Yogi having attained, through pranayama, the eight sorts of psychic powers, and having
crossed the ocean of virtue and vice, moves about freely through the three worlds.

Yogi yang hebat setelah memperoleh 8 jenis tenaga fisik dan melewati lautan kebajikan dan kejahatan, melalui pranayama dapat bergerak dengan bebas melalui tri bhuvana.
