yada bhaved gathavastha pavanabhyasane para,
tada samsara cakre sminnasti yanna sadharayet.

When, by the practice of pranayama, the Yogi reaches the state of ghata (water-jar), then for him there is nothing in this circle of universe which he cannot accomplish.

Bila dengan melaksanakan pranayama yogi mencapai keadaan ghata (kenci air, pasu). Maka bagina tidak ada sesuatupun dalam lingkungan alam semesta ini yang tak dapat ia capai.

pranapana nada bimdu jivatma paramtmanah,
militva ghatate yasmat tasmad vai ghata ucyate.

The ghata is said to be that state in which the prana and the apana vayus, the nada and the vindu, the jivatma (the Human Spirit) and the Paramatma (the Universal Spirit) combine and co-operate.

Ghata dikatakan sebagai keadaan tersebut dimana prana dan apana vayu, nada dan vindu, jivatma (roh manusia) dan paramatma (roh semesta), bergabung dan bekerja sama.

yam amatram yada dharttum samarthah syat tadad bhutah,
pratyaharas tada iva syann amtara bhavati dhruvam.

When he gets the power of holding breath (i.e., to be in trance) for three hours, then certainly the wonderful state of pratyahar is reached without fail.

Bila ia memperoleh tenaga penguasaan nafas (yaitu, menjadi setengah sadar) selama 3 jam, maka pasti keadaan indah dari pratyahara dicapai tanpa kesulitan.

yam yam janati yogindrasatam tam atmeti bhavayet,
yair indriyair yad vindhanas tad indriya jayo bhavet.

Whatever object the Yogi perceives, let him consider it to be the spirit. When the modes of action of
various senses are known, then they can be conquered.

Objek apapun yang didapat para yogi, biarkan ia menganggapnya sebagai roh. Bila ragam kegiatan dari berbagai indra diketahui, maka mereka dapat ditaklukkan.

yam amatram yada purnam bhaved abhyasayogatah,
ekavaram prakurvita tada yogi ca kumbhakam.
dandastakam yada vayur niscalo yogino bhavet,
svasamarthyat tad amgusthe tisthed vatulavat suddhih.

When, through, great practice, the Yogi can perform one kumbhaka for full three hours, when for eight
dandas (=3 hours) the breathing of the Yogi is suspended, then that wise one can balance himself on his thumb; but he appears to others as insane.

Bila melalui praktek yang hebat, yogi dapat melakukan satu kumbhaka selama 3 jam penuh, bila selama 8 tanda (=3 jam) pernafasan dari yogi ditunda, maka yang bijaksana tersebut dapat menyeimbangkan dirinya sendiri pada ibu jarinya; tetapi bagi orang lain ia tampak sebagai orang gila.
