hrdyasti pankajam divyam divyalingen bhusitam
kadithanta ksaropetam dvadasarnavibhusitam

In the heart, there is a brilliant lotus with twelve petals adorned with brilliant sign. It has letters from k to th (i.e., k, kh, g, gh, n, ch, chh, j, jh, ñ, t, th), the twelve beautiful letters.

Di dalam hati ada kembang teratai cemerlang dengan 12 daun bunga yang berhiaskan simbul-simbul yang cemerlang. Ia memiliki aksara dari ka sampai tha (yakni: ka, kha, ga, gha, na, ca, cha, ja, jha, na, ta, tha) yang merupakan 12 aksara yang indah

prano vasati tatraiva vasanabhiralam krtah
anadi karma samslistah prapyahankara samyutah

The Prana lives there, adorned with various desires, accompanied by its past works, that have no beginning, and joined with egoism (ahankara.)

Sang prana tinggal di sana berhiaskan dengan bermacam-macam keinginan, ditemani oleh kegiatan masa lalunya, yang tak memiliki awal dan bergabung dengan keakuan (ahamkara)

pranasya vrttibhedena namani vividhani ca,
vartante tani sarvani kathitum naiva saktyate

From the different modifications of the Prana, it receives various names; all of them cannot be stated here.

Dari perubahan prana yang berbeda-beda, ia menerima bermacam-macam nama yang semuanya tak dapat dinyatakan di sini.

prano ‘panah samanas codano vyanas ca pancamah
nagah kurmas ca krkaro devadatto dhananjayah

Prana, apana, samana, udana, vyana, naga, kurma, Krikara, devadatta, and dhananjaya.

Prana, apana, samana, udana, vyana, naga, kurma, krkara, devadatta dan dhananjaya

dasa namani mukhyani mayoktaniha sastrake
kurvanti te ‘tra karyani preritani svakarmabhih

These are the ten principal names, described by me in this Shastra; they perform all functions, incited
thereto by their own actions.

Inilah sepuluh nama pokok, yang kulukiskan dalam sastra ini; mereka melaksanakan segala fungsi, yang terangsang ke sana oleh kegiatannya sendiri.

atrapi vayavah panca mukhyah syurdasatah punah,
tatrapi srestha karttarau pranapanau mayoditau

Again, out of these ten, the first five are the leading ones; even among these, the prana and apana are the highest agents, in my opinion.

Tambahan pula, terlepas dari kesepuluh ini, maka lima yang pertama merupakan yang terpenting; bahkan di antaranya, prana dan apana menurut pendapatku merupakan yang terpenting

hrdi prano gude ‘panah samano nabhi mandale
udanah kantha desasyo vyanah sarva sariragah

The seat of the Prana is the heart; of the apana, the anus; of the samana, the region above the navel; of the udana, the throat; while the vyana moves all over the body.

Kedudukan prana adalah di dalam hati, apana pada anus; samana di daerah sekitar pusar; udana di tenggorokan, sedangkan vyana bergerak di sekujur badan.

nagadi vayavah panca te kurvanti ca vimahe,
udgaron milanam ksuttrd jrmbha hikka ca pancamah

The five remaining vayus, etc., perform the following functions in the body: – Eructation, opening the eyes, hunger and thirst, gaping or yawning, and lastly hiccup.

Lima sisanya berupa vayu-vayu, naga, dsb. melaksanakan fungsi di dalam badan seperti di bawah ini: sendawa, membuka mata, rasa lapar dan haus, menguap dan akhirnya tersedu

anena vidhina yo vai brahmandam vetting vigraham
sarva papa vinirmuktah sa yati paramam gatim

He who in this way knows the microcosm of the body, being absolved from all sins, reaches the highest
state.

Ia yang berada di jalan ini mengetahui mikrokosmos dari badan, dibebaskan dari segala dosa dan mencapai tempat yang tertinggi.
